Just ask any blues fan in the motor city. They'll tell you he's the hottest blues guitarist around. It's SRO (standing room only) when Steve Gornall performs back home in Detroit.

Ask Bob Seger! He put Steve on salery in 1990 to work out guitars on his new project. The Detroit Blues Society awarded Steve an Honorary Lifetime Achievement Membership in 1992. In 1993 Steve put out his first CD, Steve Gornall and the Blue Collar Blues Band, which quickly became a regional hit. In 1994 Steve moved his family to San Francisco. It didn't take long for the Bay Area to catch on. When Jonathon Cain ( of Journey fame) needed some special slide-guitar parts, he called Steve to play on his upcoming solo album.

Ask Joe Cocker! When the House of Blues asked Joe to headline it's 1996 Barnburner Tour with Buddy Guy and the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Joe knew he needed a great blues guitarist to do battle with these legends. He hired Steve Gornall! Playing with Joe at venuesl like the Concord Pavilion and Shoreline Amphitheater gave many Northern Californians their first taste of Steve's powerful guitar playing.
1997 started off with the release of Steve's second CD, STEVE GORNALL STEPPIN' OUT. He is supported on this recording by Robert Cray's drummer and keyboard player ( Kevin Hayes and Jimmy Pugh, respectively) and fellow Michiganian, Don Bassey, on the bass guitar.
2001 brings Steve's third CD, " ELECTRIC BIBLE OF THE BLUES". Stu Blank tickles the ivory's on this one. Don Bassey and original Blue Collar drummer, Vinnie Scalabrino hold down the fort while Steve's guitar soars through fourteen new tracks! This isn't "fall asleep in your beer" blues. No, this is "get on your feet and have a good time" rockin'in blues!
